This easy smoked turkey sausage pasta skillet is creamy, cheesy, and made in one pan. Perfect for busy weeknights, family dinners, and simple comfort food with bold flavor and minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 pound smoked turkey sausage, sliced into rounds

  • 1 cup diced onion (about 1 medium onion)

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (23 fresh cloves)

  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream

  • 8 ounces dry pasta (rotini, penne, or farfalle)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese

  • ⅓ cup sliced scallions, for garnish

  • Add diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened and fragrant

  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, just until aromatic.

  • Pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and milk or cream. Stir well to combine.

  • Add dry pasta, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle boil.

  • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens
