Description

This easy overnight cinnamon roll bake is the perfect make-ahead breakfast or brunch recipe. Soft, gooey cinnamon rolls baked in a creamy vanilla custard and topped with sweet icing. Ideal for holidays, weekends, and stress-free mornings.

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 1 package frozen cinnamon rolls (12 rolls) or 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, cut into quarters

  • 4 large eggs

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • Cream cheese frosting (from cinnamon roll package)


Instructions

  • Prepare the pan: Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Tilt and swirl until the bottom is fully coated.

  • Cut the rolls: Slice cinnamon rolls into quarters and arrange evenly in the dish.

  • Make the custard: In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth and well blended.

  • Pour & soak: Slowly pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls, making sure all pieces are coated.

  • Chill (optional): Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight for best flavor and texture

  • Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until puffed and set but still soft in the center.

  • Finish: Cool for 10 minutes, drizzle with frosting, serve warm, and enjoy
