Description
This creamy ground turkey & rice skillet is an easy one-pan dinner made with pantry staples. Comforting, filling, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.
Ingredients

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 lb lean ground turkey

1 small sweet onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained

6 oz fresh green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces (about 1½ cups)

1½ cups uncooked white rice (short or long grain)

2½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
-
1 tsp coarse salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp dried Italian herbs
-
⅛ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

2 tsp grainy mustard
-
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart until no longer pink.

Stir in diced onion and cook 2–3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add diced tomatoes (with juices), green beans, uncooked rice, chicken broth, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes. Stir well

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 18–20 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.

Stir in grainy mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until creamy and evenly combined

Remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes before serving. Fluff with a spoon and enjoy!
