Brown the beef: Add ground beef and cook 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned and no pink remains. Drain excess grease if needed.

Make the sauce: Stir in butter until melted. Sprinkle flour evenly over the mixture and cook for 1 minute. Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring. Add garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens and looks glossy.

Mix biscuits: While the sauce simmers, stir baking mix and buttermilk together just until combined—don’t overmix .
