Ingredients

Scale
  • Cooking spray

  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

  • 1 cup carrots, chopped

  • 1 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 cup celery, chopped

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1½ teaspoons garlic salt

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Biscuits

  • 3 cups baking mix

  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  • Prep the skillet: Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Lightly coat a large oven-safe skillet with cooking spray.

  • Cook vegetables: Heat canola oil over medium heat. Add carrots, onion, and celery. Cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring, until slightly softened.

  • Assemble: Drop biscuit dough by spoonfuls evenly over the beef mixture.

  • Bake: Transfer skillet to oven and bake 15–18 minutes, until biscuits are puffed and golden.

  • Serve: Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy that creamy, cozy goodness .
