Description

This classic seven layer dip is creamy, fresh, and perfect for parties, game day, or potlucks. No baking required and ready in just 20 minutes, this easy appetizer is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser with bold Tex-Mex flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and diced

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped

  • ¼ cup salsa

  • 1½ tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt

  • Ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 (8 oz) container sour cream

  • 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning mix

  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans

  • 4 Roma tomatoes, diced

  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese blend

  • 1 (2.25 oz) can black olives, drained and finely chopped


Instructions

  1. Make the guacamole: In a bowl, mash the diced avocados with lime juice, salsa, cilantro, garlic salt, and black pepper until slightly chunky and creamy

  2. Mix the sour cream layer: In a separate bowl, stir sour cream with taco seasoning until smooth and evenly blended.

  3. Start layering: Spread refried beans evenly across the bottom of your serving dish.

  4. Add creamy layers: Gently spread the seasoned sour cream over the beans, followed by the guacamole layer.

  5. Pile on freshness: Sprinkle diced tomatoes and green onions evenly over the top.

  6. Finish strong: Add shredded cheese, then top with chopped black olives

  7. Chill or serve: Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving for firmer layers.
