Description

This brioche strawberry cream cheese French toast is soft, golden, and stuffed with a sweet strawberry filling. Ready in 20 minutes, it’s perfect for brunch, holidays, or cozy weekend breakfasts. Easy, indulgent, and family-friendly.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • ¼ cup strawberries, diced (plus more for serving)

  • 12 slices brioche bread (1 loaf)

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 4 large eggs

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 3 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. Make the filling: In a medium bowl, mix whipped cream cheese, honey, and diced strawberries until smooth and evenly combined. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the custard: In a large shallow bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until fully blended.

  3. Assemble the toast: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over 6 slices of brioche. Top with the remaining 6 slices, pressing gently to seal.

  4. Heat the skillet: Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add about ½ tablespoon butter. Let it melt and coat the pan.

  5. Dip & cook: Dip each stuffed brioche sandwich into the custard, coating both sides well. Transfer immediately to the skillet.

  6. Cook until golden: Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp. Flip carefully. Repeat with remaining sandwiches, adding more butter as needed.

  7. Serve warm: Remove from heat and serve with fresh strawberries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar if desired
